3DPrint.com is excited to be offering another round of our 3D print design courses this summer. Our back-to-back two-week intensive courses in Beginning Design for 3D Printing and Advanced Design for 3D Printing can be taken separately – or, for the full design experience, one after the other. Our invigorating courses have been created to optimize the best of live conferences with the intimacy of small group workshops. Each week you will hear from leaders in the 3D print world who will deliver live keynote presentations on topics that are integral to learning about 3D print design. Our speakers will be demoing cutting-edge tools and programs, and teaching you tricks and tips for navigating them effectively and efficiently. In addition, everything in our weekly meetings is facilitated by our course mentor, who will guide you through the coursework each week, and answer any of your pressing questions.
The online classroom is the epicenter of the course. From there, you can access our live keynotes, our discussion boards, our weekly assignments, and communicate with mentors and other participants. Our live keynotes are archived in the classroom, so you can access them even after they air, whether you want to go back and rewatch, or in case you miss the live presentation. In our discussions, you can expect to be met with ongoing support from your small group mentor, as well as engaging conversations between participants. This collaborative environment provides a space in which participants can learn and build from each others’ creativity and troubleshoot problems that may arise while working with new tools and programs.
The course is rooted in Project Based Learning, so students are asked to develop 3D print designed solutions to everyday problems and challenges. 3D print design is a practically applicable skill, and we ask our participants to put their newly-honed skills to use in the real world through our final Design Contest. The course culminates in this opportunity to display the skills you’ve learned and be inspired by the array of creative designs developed by your peers.
