Polish company SMARRTECH, manufacturer of optical 3D scanners, announced today that it has expanded its growing distributorship to include a number of Asian companies: Nissa Digispace of Russia, Trustworthy Beijing, EUC TECH of India, Kyokuto Boeki Kaisha of Japan, KAIS of South Korea, and Malaysia-based Dalal Technology. The newly added distributors will carry SMARTTECH’s newest scanner, the green LED light-based Micron3D, along with their other optical scanners, rotary stages, and compatible Geomagic software.
The added distributors are part of SMARTTECH’s efforts to broaden their reach in the Asian market. Recently they launched a Chinese language version of their website, and will be conducting introductory seminars, in partnership with Dalal Technology, at the Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology in Kuala Lumpur to familiarize participants with 3D scanning technologies. The seminars, which will take place November 9-11, are free of charge and open to the public.
“It’s not a surprise that 3D scanning technologies are so important in Asia – the world largest part supplier,” said SMARTTECH Managing Director Anna Gebarska. “We decided to focus on those markets as it is almost unlimited. All our Distributors have their subresellers who are operating in those countries and are familiar with local nations, languages and habits what is very important in such huge countries like Russia or China.”
SMARRTECH was founded in 2000 and has been internationally recognized for its ScanBright and scan3D lines of products, which have been utilized in industrial and medical applications as well as historical archiving. Notably, their scanners were used to assist in the building of the massive Christ the King statue in Świebodzin, Poland; experimental wound treatments in Polish hospitals; the tuning and production of smart cars; and the digitizing of ancient Babylonian relics. Recently they released a robotic 3D scanner, which was presented at Poland’s 3D Show 2015 in October. As 3D scanners are becoming more accessible and less expensive, more retailers are looking to capitalize on the products provided by companies such as SMARTTECH.
