While, the summer usually brings with it a bit of a quiet period when it comes to new product introductions within the 3D printing space, these last couple of months have strayed from the norm. We’ve seen numerous new machines introduced to market from all over the world. Recently, one of these new machines has been unveiled from a country that has been known for their innovative 3D printing technology, Poland.
Omni3D, located in Poznan, Poland, and known for their high quality DAVID-SLS-2 3D scanner, has recently introduced their new Factory 2.0 3D printer, and it’s a doozy, with several key features setting it apart from the majority of machines on the market today.
Immediately upon seeing the Factory 2.0, one would notice its large build envelope which dwarfs most FDM 3D printers you’ve likely come across, at a staggering 50 x 50 x 50 cm (yes that’s almost 20 inches in each direction). Next, one would likely notice the sturdy look to the machine. With a design that’s bordering on futuristic, the entire body and internal components scream “Quality!”.
“Most devices available on the market use similar solutions, so the same problems and limitations keep popping up,” explained Kamil Dziadkiewicz, Omni3D’s Technological Evangelist. “Seeing that, we, Omni3D, decided to challenge the market status quo, but we still wanted to stick to FDM printing because of the wide material compatibility, growing market for durable composites and low operating cost. FDM makes it possible to get usable and durable objects right from the printer. That’s why more than a year ago we started working on something that we believe to be the next chapter in 3D printing history.”
That ‘something’ happens to be the Factory 2.0, according to the company. Below you will find this new machine’s key specifications:

Besides the large build envelope, precision that would make most competing companies jealous, and its sturdy, rugged appeal, the Factory 2.0 also includes numerous premium features such as a heated build chamber, heated platform which can reach 70°C in just 5 minutes, an intuitive touchscreen user interface, and precision dual extruders. In addition to all of this, the printer has a built-in filament weighing system and flow control mechanism along with a precision capacitive sensor on the extruder to ensure complete control over any 3D printing project.
While the company has yet to announce a price for this machine, it does appear that it will be marketed primarily towards the business space rather than consumers.
