Earlier this year, 3D printed insole manufacturer Wiivv broke its own record for the most funded 3D printed project ever on Kickstarter. That particular campaign was for the company’s new custom 3D printed sandals, which are created using the same technology Wiivv uses to make its popular 3D printed insoles (which held the most-funded 3D printing-related Kickstarter record before that). The popularity of Wiivv’s products is a testament to their effectiveness; people are obviously benefiting from the customized comfort the company promises.
It’s easy to order a pair of custom 3D printed insoles or sandals – all you have to do is download the Wiivv app, take a few pictures of your feet, and Wiivv will digitally map the images to create insoles that are perfectly contoured to your feet. Then you just slip them into your shoes (or onto your feet, if you’ve ordered the sandals) and benefit from decreased pain and better alignment.
